1 Getting Started

SMS Nexus is a multi-carrier SMS and MMS messaging platform designed for businesses. It enables you to send and receive text messages at scale, manage phone numbers, create bulk messaging campaigns, and integrate SMS capabilities into your applications via our REST API. We route messages through multiple carriers to ensure optimal delivery rates.

Creating an account is simple and free. Click the "Register" button on the homepage, provide your name, email address, and password, then verify your email address. Once verified, you can choose a plan, purchase credits, and start sending messages right away. We also support social login through Google and GitHub for faster registration.

Yes! New accounts receive complimentary credits to test the platform. You can explore the dashboard, set up phone numbers, and send test messages before committing to a paid plan. No credit card is required to sign up and start exploring the platform's features.

We accept a wide range of payment methods including credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe, PayPal, cryptocurrency through Coinbase, and Cash App. All payments are processed securely through our trusted payment partners.

2 Messaging

SMS Nexus integrates with multiple carriers including BulkVS, Thinq, Telnyx, Sinch, and Commio. Our multi-carrier architecture intelligently routes messages for optimal delivery rates and cost efficiency. The platform automatically selects the best carrier based on destination, cost, and reliability.

Our platform primarily supports messaging within the United States and Canada. International messaging availability depends on carrier support and may be available on certain plans. Contact our sales team for specific international messaging requirements and pricing.

An SMS credit is the currency used on our platform to send messages. One credit equals one standard SMS message (up to 160 characters). Longer messages or MMS messages may consume additional credits. Your credit balance is displayed on the dashboard and deducted in real-time as messages are sent.

Message costs vary based on your plan and volume. Higher-tier plans include lower per-message rates. Visit our pricing page for detailed pricing information. Bulk messaging campaigns may qualify for additional volume discounts.

Yes, SMS Nexus supports MMS messaging, allowing you to send images and media alongside text. MMS messages consume more credits than standard SMS. You can send MMS through the dashboard conversation view or via the API by including a media URL in your request.

The API allows up to 30 message-sending requests per minute. For bulk campaigns, messages are queued and sent at optimized rates to maximize delivery while respecting carrier throughput limits. Campaign sending rates depend on your plan and the number of phone numbers in your account.

3 Numbers & Compliance

You can search for and purchase phone numbers directly from the dashboard. Go to Phone Numbers, use the search tool to find available numbers by area code or region, and purchase instantly. Numbers are provisioned within seconds and ready for immediate use.

Yes, we support Local Number Portability (LNP). You can port your existing phone numbers to SMS Nexus from most carriers. The porting process typically takes 1-3 business days. Contact our support team or use the LNP tools in the admin dashboard to initiate a port request.

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is a U.S. federal law that regulates telemarketing and automated messaging. It requires businesses to obtain prior express consent before sending marketing messages, honor opt-out requests, and maintain records of consent. SMS Nexus provides built-in tools to help you stay compliant, including automatic STOP keyword handling.

When a recipient replies with "STOP" to one of your messages, our platform automatically flags them as opted out and prevents future messages from being sent to that number. This is handled at the platform level using auto-responders, ensuring compliance even if your application doesn't process the opt-out directly. You can also configure custom opt-out keywords and responses.

4 Billing & Plans

Credit expiration policies depend on your plan. Generally, purchased credits remain in your account as long as your subscription is active. If your account is suspended or terminated, unused credits may be forfeited. Check your specific plan details for credit expiration terms.

Yes, you can change your plan at any time from the Plan Management page in your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades are processed at the end of your current billing cycle. If downgrading would exceed the new plan's limits, you'll need to resolve any overages first.

When your credit balance reaches zero, message sending will be paused until you purchase more credits. Incoming messages will still be received. You can purchase additional credits instantly from the Credits page in your dashboard using any of our supported payment methods.

Purchased credits are generally non-refundable as outlined in our Terms of Service. However, we review refund requests on a case-by-case basis for exceptional circumstances such as platform errors or service disruptions. Contact our support team if you believe a refund is warranted.

5 API & Integration

Yes! SMS Nexus provides a comprehensive REST API that allows you to integrate SMS messaging into your applications. You can send messages, check balances, manage phone numbers, and receive delivery webhooks programmatically. Check out our API documentation for full details.

After logging into your dashboard, navigate to the API Keys page. You can generate new API tokens with custom names for easy identification. The token is displayed once upon creation, so make sure to copy it securely. You can create multiple tokens and revoke them individually if compromised.

The API has two rate limit tiers: 60 requests per minute for general endpoints (balance checks, listing messages, etc.) and 30 requests per minute for message-sending endpoints. If you exceed these limits, you'll receive a 429 status code. Rate limit headers are included in every API response so you can track your usage.

6 Resellers

Yes! SMS Nexus offers a full reseller program. As a reseller, you get your own tenant with the ability to create and manage sub-users, set your own pricing, and earn commissions on messaging activity. Register as a reseller during account creation to get started.

Resellers earn commissions on credit purchases made by their sub-users. Commission rates are configured by the platform administrator and can include tiered structures where higher volumes earn higher rates. Commission details and earnings are visible in your reseller dashboard.

Yes, resellers can customize their tenant with their own branding, including custom logo, brand name, favicon, and color scheme. Your sub-users will see your branding throughout the platform. White-labeling is available through the Settings page in your reseller dashboard, giving your customers a fully branded experience.
